Finolex Cables, India’s largest and leading manufacturer of electrical and communication cables recently announced its entry into Patna.

30/8/13	The income tax department in Kolkata raided some MSOs and issued summons to more than 350 cable operators in the last week of August.

16/8/13	The Broadcasting Content Complaints Council (BCCC) has ask Big CBS Love to pay a fine for "airing obscene content". While it has to pay 10 lakh, BIG CBS Spark has been asked to pay a fine of 2.5 lakh.

13/8/13	A total of 29,782 direct-to-home boxes are set to receive Doordarshan’s free-to-air DD Direct Plus, including 20,397 in hilly areas of HP, which have been provided by the government to 16 states where terrestrial signals are not easily available.

08/8/13	I&B minister Manish Tewari said in Lok Sabha, "Permissions of 71 channels have been cancelled till date due to reasons of non operationalisation, non submission of PBG (Performance Bank Guarantee) or surrender of permission.”
08/8/13	About 1.8 crore set top boxes (STBs) have been installed in 38 cities in the second phase of digitization. According to data given by the I&B minister Manish Tewari to the Lok Sabha, a total of 1.3 STBs have been installed in cable television homes, while the rest are DTH households.
