Tuesday, March 1, 2005 -- The Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DoT) entered into a partnership with Vanu Inc., a leading developer of software radio solutions based in Cambridge, for introducing, on an experimental basis, Vanu’s Anywave Software Radio GSM base station technology in communication programmes of rural India.

Monday, March 21, 2005The Telecom Disputes Settlement Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) began suo moto proceedings against India Cable Net, the distributor of Star TV Network and SET India Pvt. Ltd by asking them to explain why action should not be taken against them for not recommencing their signals to a Kolkata based MSO Caluctta Communication, despite having received a reemptory order in this regard from TDSAT.
 
Wednesday, March 16, 2005A significant ruling was made by the Supreme Court of India directing that MSOs will have to pay Entertainment Tax levied upon them by the state government, thus leaving the last mile operator out of the tax net. The order was passed by a bench comprising Justice SN Variava, Justice AR Lakshmanan and Justice S H Kapadia.
