The Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (Tdsat) has issued a notice to the Information and Broadcasting Ministry seeking response over the alleged violations by channels in crossing the 12-minute cap of advertisement time  for a one-hour television programme. Tdsat will hear the matter on 14 February.

A division bench of the Delhi High Court has issued notice to NDTV for terminating channel distribution contract with MSM Discovery and switching over to Star Den. The court listed the matter for next hearing on 18 March.

The Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) has approved AETN's proposal to invest Rs 225 million to subscribe to the equity shares of an Indian company engaged in uplinking and downlinking of non-news and current affairs channels. The JV plans to launch the popular factual entertainment AETN channels in India, including History and Bio among others.
