Conceived as a national channel, Jai Hind will represent the quintessence of the art culture, ethos and traditions of Mother India, while keeping pace with the trends of the world media.
The broad objectives of the channel are to propagate the values which Congress party has nourished ever since its inception including that of secularism and nationalism. With its live newsroom in Thiruvananthapuram it will be fed with regular updates from its centers in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Dubai thus making it a reliable news channel.
Initially Jai Hind TV will begin as a Malayalam Channel but eventually it will have a Pan-India presence. Its reach will be throughout entire Indian Sub-continent, The Gulf and African Countries and a major part of the European and Far East Countries.
Jai Hind will provide wholesome entertainment for the entire family and its programming bouquet includes music programmes, skits, mainstream films, tele-films by established and upcoming filmmakers, talk shows and general entertainment programmes. Apart from the entertainment programmes it will also serve in-depth news analysis, special business and gulf news bulletins on its platter. All this will help to make Jai Hind the complete infotainment channel.
According to the sources the party is quite ecstatic on its launch and will replicate it in other states once this venture meets with success. But it need to come up with its unique programming module if it has to compete with twelve other Malayalam channels including the market leader Asianet and Indian Vision against which it will be competing for viewer ship
